Armed Forces begin Review meet on National and Regional Security at Goa
PANAJI: Flag officers of three armed forces on Monday began to
review the national and regional security situation at Naval War
College, Goa. Out of 20 officers, 12 belong to the Indian Army, 5 to the
Air Force and 3 to the Indian Navy.
Under the combined operational and review evaluation (CORE) programme,
officers will examine the emerging trends in world geopolitics and
update themselves on the latest developments in land, naval. air
strategy as well as in defence and space technology.
Including, Navy chief Admiral Robin Dhowan, Air chief marshal Arup Raha,
senior serving officers from the government, defence services, eminent
economists and other functionaries would be interacting with
participants over this week.
The programme also includes round table discussion conducted by the
united services institute, New Delhi in which several formal ambassador,
high commission and retired defence officers will participate.
The program was inaugurated by vice admiral Sunil Lanba Flag officer command (FOC)-in C (Charge) south.
