Narendra Modi pays tribute to 1965 war martyrs at Amar Jawan Jyoti in Delhi
New Delhi, Sep 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi
today paid tributes to 1965 war martyrs at Amar Jawan Jyoti in New
Delhi. He was accompanied by three Services Chiefs including Army Chief
Dalbir Singh. As a part of the celebrations paid to martyrs, helicopters
showered flowers as they passed over Amar Jawan Jyoti.
Modi also placed at the wreath as a
respect to the martyrs. Today is the last day of the f ‘Shauryanjali’
exhibition, set up by the Army as part of the golden jubilee
commemoration of the 1965 war. Modi in his 12th edition of Mann ki Baat
session had urged citizens to visit the exhibition. During his radio
programme he said, “History was recreated at Shauryanjali. We have
always heard about the valour of our forces.”
